I have a shed with a wooden floor, what should I use on the floor for putting a small gas bottled cooker?

What should I put on my wooden shed floor in order to make it safe to do some cooking…I have a wedding coming up in 2 weeks so will have to do some cooking in my 8×8 garden shed…I’m fearful of the shed catching fire from the small barbeque type gas cooker.

You can buy a mat that goes beneath propane grills at Lowes, not expensive and a good safety precaution (plus it protects the floor from grease). If that isn’t possible, lay some concrete patio stones under it if you have some available. I think It’d be better to cook outdoors, perhaps under a tarp you can stretch between trees or poles, you could even use your shed as one end to attach the tarp to, as in an area the size of the shed you will have to worry about the roof, walls, smoke etc while it’s in the small shed.
